Opportunity for Collaboration and Participation We now live in a world where almost a quarter of the population live in absolute poverty despite the fact that we possess wealth, knowledge and technology to remove it.In India the story is perhaps more grim. In Bangalore the number of slums in 1960 was 200, but in the year 2000 it has risen to 400. IDF aims at providing educational programs and vocational training for women from more poor sections of society for their growth and empowerment. Poor and deserving children's education and health are another serious concern of IDF. More young people should be encouraged into public life. The task is huge and daunting. Unless people work together, very little can be achieved. Therefore, IDF needs your support in terms of monetary contributions. Any contributions to India Development Foundation is eligible for Income Tax exemption as IDF is registered under Section 80/G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 as per the order dated 24-7-1996, No.Trust/718/4/96-97/CIT-II
